Jade Dernbach to move on after 19 seasons with Surrey

Jade Dernbach, the former England seamer, will leave Surrey at the end of the season in order to pursue further playing options.
The 35-year-old, who was capped 58 times by England in limited-overs internationals between 2011 and 2014, has only made two 1st XI appearances for Surrey since 2019. Earlier this month, he went on loan to Derbyshire, taking five wickets in two Vitality Blast matches.
A popular and long-standing servant at The Oval, Dernbach made his debut in 2003 and helped Surrey to lift the CB40 trophy in 2011, as well as the County Championship in 2018. He featured 10 times in the Championship that season, but has not played a first-class game since, with injuries limiting his involvement.
He captained the club in T20 in 2018 and 2019, but did not feature in any format last season, and made just two appearances in the Blast before going out on loan. Dernbach is Surrey's joint-leading wicket-taker in the T20 format, with 114.
"I would like to thank Surrey for everything they have done for me, this has been my home for the best part of 20 years and I will certainly miss it," Dernbach said.
"It's the right time for me to take on a new challenge as my opportunities would have been limited at Surrey but I wish all the players the best of luck for the future and look forward to returning to the Kia Oval in the near future."
Overall, Dernbach claimed 583 wickets from 331 appearances for Surrey across the formats. He was part of the team that played three consecutive 50-over finals between 2015 and 2017 - taking a hat-trick and a six-wicket haul against Gloucestershire in the first - but ended up on the losing side each time.
Alec Stewart, Surrey's director of cricket, said: "On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Jade for everything he's done and achieved for Surrey - he is a real club man through and through and has been outstanding in the way he's played his cricket.
"When wearing the three feathers on his chest he has always been fully committed and has offered his knowledge and experience to all his teammates. He leaves with our very best wishes and will always be warmly welcomed back at The Kia Oval in the future. Thank you Jader, you'll be missed."
