MACON, Ill. – Terry Babb was not going to be denied Saturday night at Macon Speedway.

The driver of the No. 47 Samonds Racing machine raced to victory Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Car Series competition on the fifth-mile dirt oval Saturday evening.

Babb took advantage of his second starting spot and jumped to the early lead over polesitter Andy Bishop. He constantly was able to fight back against challenges from other competitors, as well as multiple red and yellow flag conditions which slowed the field.

In the end Babb took the victory, his first of the season with the series.

“We just ran really well tonight. I was able to be in the right position when it counted most,” said Babb.

Bishop was second, followed by Zach Daum, Chad Boespflug and Paul Nienhiser.

The finish:

Terry Babb, Andy Bishop, Zach Daum, Chad Boespflug, Paul Nienhiser, Cory Bruns, Brayton Lynch, Robby McQuinn, Dustin Barks, Steve Short, Jeremy Standridge, Colton Fisher, Jacob Patton, Robbie Standridge, Kyle Schuett, Justin Standridge, Logan Faucon, Dylan Tuxhorn, Chris Urish.
