The field consists of the top 29 players in the FedExCup standings, with No. 30 Will Zalatoris (back) having to withdraw at the start of the week. The Tour Championship is a no cut event with an $18 million bonus awarded to the winner. Season-long FedExCup leader Scottie Scheffler starts the round 23 under - a six-shot lead on T-2 Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele at 17 under.
