The ITTF Executive Committee chose Amman, Jordan, to host the inaugural ITTF Summit on 4-6 December 2022.
Ground-breaking, after two years marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the ITTF Summit will gather the world’s table tennis leaders to shape the future of the sport.
“The ITTF Summit will be a fantastic way to bring the table tennis family together after two years of travel restrictions and videoconferences. We will take the time to meet, exchange best practices, share ideas, and extend our network. This summit must become a key gathering for the Olympic and Paralympic movements and the business community. I also want to welcome guest speakers with specific expertise to ensure the table tennis family stays at the forefront of all important topics.” — ITTF President Petra Sörling
Planned events include the 2022 ITTF Annual General Meeting, in addition to meetings convened by the Board of Directors, Continental Council and Executive Committee. A far-reaching agenda, included on the itinerary will be keynotes speeches and workshops addressing such items as sustainability, education, and diversity.
Decisions will be made regarding major events, integral to the ITTF calendar. The host cities for the 2025 World Table Tennis Championships Finals, the 2024 World Veteran Championships, and the 2024 World Youth Championships will be selected.
