The Los Angeles Lakers are trading center Thomas Bryant to the Denver Nuggets for Davon Reed and three second-round picks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
L.A. receives Denver's second-round picks in 2025, 2026 and 2029, sources said.
Bryant signed a one-year deal with the Lakers this summer after missing most of the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons due to a torn ACL. He has started 25 games this year, averaging 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds and shooting 44% from 3.
Bryant, 25, gives Denver more frontcourt depth as the team hopes to make a deep playoff run in a now-loaded Western Conference. For the Lakers, moving Bryant opens up minutes for Wenyen Gabriel and newly acquired Jarred Vanderbilt.
Reed, 27, earned a Denver roster spot this summer after playing on several 10-day contracts last season. He has played sparingly this season, appearing in just 35 games and averaging nine minutes per contest.
