Toss West Indies choose to bat vs UAE

Fast bowler Akeem Jordan was handed his maiden ODI cap as West Indies won the toss and opted to bat in the second ODI against UAE in Sharjah. Allrounder Keemo Paul, who picked up three wickets in the opening encounter, has been rested.

Jordan has returned 48 wickets in 32 List A games at an average of 24.31 and an economy of 4.62.

UAE, meanwhile, made four changes to the side that went down in the first ODI by seven wickets. Wristspinner Lovepreet Singh and the teen Adhitya Shetty were the debutants for UAE, replacing Karthik Meiyappan, who was hit for 55 runs in his 4.2 overs in the last game and batter Rameez Shahzad, who had copped a blow on the helmet on Sunday.

In the other two changes, Rohan Mustafa made way for Basil Hameed, while Sanchit Sharma replaced Junaid Siddique.

West Indies lead the three-match series 1-0 after Brandon King's maiden ODI century helped them seal a comfortable win on Sunday.
