MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Shell-Pennzoil and Joey Logano will pay tribute to Richard Childress Racing’s 50th anniversary during Sunday’s Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
Logano’s No. 22 Team Penske Ford will carry a paint scheme from the 2007-2010 era, when Kevin Harvick drove the No. 29 Chevrolet for RCR that was sponsored by Shell-Pennzoil.
Shell-Pennzoil began their tenure with Richard Childress Racing by winning the 2007 Daytona 500.
The paint scheme was revealed in a video posted on Shell Racing’s Twitter account, which also featured Logano’s wife Brittany. The video pays tribute to an incident between Logano and Harvick in June of 2010 at Pocono Raceway, when Logano coined the phrase, “she wears the fire suit in that family,” in reference to Harvick’s wife, DeLana.
