New Zealand’s top two men and women players enjoyed more national success at the weekend.
Joelle King, 34, equalled the great Susan Devoy’s record with a 10th New Zealand national championships title in Tauranga.
King beat Megan Graham 11-5 11-5, 11-4 as she won the title without losing a game in the competition.
Paul Coll claimed a seventh national men’s title as he racked up his 20th match without conceding a game over a five-year spell.
Coll beat second seed Lwamba Chileshe 11-2, 11-3, 11-3 and never lost more than nine points in a game over his five matches.
Meanwhile, Dutchman Rowan Damming continued his fine PSA form in winning the men’s PSA Challenger Bendigo International in Australia – his third title in a row.
Damning beat local hope Dylan Molinaro in the final and the Dutchman will now head to the World Junior Championships in fine fettle.
Damming became the first-ever Dutch player to win a world junior title last year as he downed pre-match favourite Finnlay Withington 3-0 to lift the title.
