Australia bowl in third T20I, make four changes; Avesh replaces Mukesh for India

Toss Australia opt to bowl vs India

With the series on the line, Australia captain Matthew Wade chose to bowl after winning the toss in the third T20I in Guwahati. He said that the conditions were wet, and expected it to be similar for batting across both innings. "We've been there and thereabouts," Wade said. "When the dew settles, you can chase anything. We've been close."
Australia made wholesale tweaks to their squad between the second and third games, and for this contest made four changes right away. At the top, Travis Head - the Player of the Match from the ODI World Cup final - replaced Matthew Short, while Jason Behrendorff came in for Sean Abbott. Kane Richardson, the right-arm quick, replaced legspinner Adam Zampa. Steven Smith was replaced by Perth Scorchers allrounder Aaron Hardie, who was slotted to open the batting alongside Head.
For India, there was just one change, with seamer Mukesh Kumar granted leave for his wedding. Avesh Khan replaced him in the XI. "We're happy to bat first," Suryakumar Yadav, India's stand-in captain, said. "Told the boys to do the same thing like [in] the first two games."

Guwahati is among the larger Indian grounds, with roughly 75m boundaries all around. The pitch is a hard, black-soil surface, and high scores are expected once again. Dew, undoubtedly, will be a factor as early as the first innings itself, with the sun also setting early in north-east India. India are leading the five-match series 2-0, and another win would seal the series for the hosts.

India: 1 Yashasvi Jaiswal, 2 Ruturaj Gaikwad, 3 Ishan Kishan (wk), 4 Suryakumar Yadav (capt), 5 Tilak Varma, 6 Rinku Singh, 7 Axar Patel, 8 Ravi Bishnoi, 9 Arshdeep Singh, 10 Prasidh Krishna, 11 Avesh Khan

Australia: 1 Aaron Hardie, 2 Travis Head, 3 Josh Inglis, 4 Glenn Maxwell, 5 Marcus Stoinis, 6 Tim David, 7 Matthew Wade (capt, wk), 8 Kane Richardson, 9 Nathan Ellis, 10 Jason Behrendorff, 11 Tanveer Sangha
