With all the hype and excitement building, the ranking points from the recent ITTF Mixed Team World Cup 2023 have slid in to the athletes totals. While there were no major movements in the Top 16 players, Chengdu showed that the athletes headed to the WTT Finals are running red-hot before the season finale showdowns. Wang Manyu proved herself to be the MVP of Team China. Wang was the panda express, helping to carry her teammates to the gold medal by providing the largest game contribution. With 22% of the teams total coming at her bat, the Chinese star was the runaway MVP, and scored herself 222pts for the feat.

Fan Zhendong meanwhile was next in line for contribution to Team Chinas gold, blasting his way to 14% of the games won. The World No.1 collected 139pts from his hometown showing. While this will make hardly a dent in his current 6544pts total, the confidence will be boosted with matches under his belt as he goes to Doha as the top seed. Ma Long also had a big showing in front of the hometown crowd. The GOAT put up 15% of the teams overall performance on the scoreboard. For this he banked a tidy sum of 125pts. With the WTT Finals looming, Ma has one last shot in the 2023 season to win a WTT Series title.

Garnering the fourth most points in Chengdu was Anton Kallberg. He in fact was the only athlete to move up in the Top 70 Mens Singles players after the event. The Swede took one step up the ladder to No.15 as he put up 25% of their semifinal performance and scored a healthy 86pts for his efforts.
