England lock Ewels to stay at Bath until 2027
Written by I Dig SportsEngland lock Charlie Ewels has extended his contract with Bath until 2027.
The 28-year-old has signed a new three-year deal, having spent his whole professional career with the club.
Ewels has made 155 appearances after making his debut in 2014 and follows Will Stewart, Will Muir, Max Ojomah, Cameron Redpath and Archie Griffin in recently extending their stays.
The second row, who has 30 international caps, is with the England squad for the Six Nations.
"The ultimate goal is to win things, it's the easiest thing to say but the hardest thing to do," Ewels said.
"There's a squad that's been together for a period of time now and shared some pretty tough experiences together, so I want that group of players to share winning together."
Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan added: "Charlie is one of the most professional players that I have coached in my professional career.
"His attention to detail, his leadership qualities, his communication skills, plus most importantly he turns up week on week."
