Written by I Dig Sports
Antoine Dupont scored a try as France beat the USA 42-12 to win the bronze medal at the SVNS event in Vancouver.
Dupont, 27, opted to miss this year's Six Nations to represent France's sevens team as they prepare for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The USA led 14-12 as they took advantage of a yellow card for Dupont, but France dominated the second half and he scored the final try.
Argentina beat New Zealand 36-12 in the final.
New Zealand saw off France 35-19 in the women's final.
The event was the fourth in the SVNS season, with the next taking place in Los Angeles from 1-3 March.
