Bevan returns as Wales target win against Ireland

Keira Bevan returns to the starting line-up as Wales make four changes for Saturday's Six Nations trip to Ireland.

The scrum-half was dropped to the bench for the England game, but came on and scored a try in the second half.

Wing Jasmine Joyce returns after a late withdrawal at Ashton Gate, while flanker Alisha Butchers and prop Sisilia Tuipulotu are also back in the starting XV.

Number eight Gwennan Hopkins is set for her international debut from the bench.

Wales are currently bottom of this year's championship, having suffered a narrow loss at home against Scotland and a heavy away defeat by England.

A bonus-point win in Cork could potentially see Ioan Cunningham's side rise to third by the end of the weekend.

Gwenllian Pyrs remains at loose-head prop, while Carys Phillips keeps her place at hooker with Kelsey Jones still nursing a calf strain from the opening round against Scotland.

Abbie Fleming and Georgia Evans pack down as locks, with Butchers joining Bethan Lewis and Alex Callender in the back row.

Bevan partners Lleucu George in the half-backs, with captain Hannah Jones and Kerin Lake named as centres.

Joyce rejoins Carys Cox and Jenny Hesketh in the back line.

Wales: Jenny Hesketh; Jasmine Joyce, Hannah Jones (capt), Kerin Lake, Carys Cox; Llecu George, Keira Bevan; Gwenllian Prys, Carys Phillips, Sisilia Tuipulotu, Abbie Fleming, Georgia Evans, Alisha Butchers, Alex Callender, Bethan Lewis.

Replacements: Molly Reardon, Abbey Constable, Donna Rose, Natalia John, Gwennan Hopkins, Sian Jones, Kayleigh Powell, Courtney Keight.

Referee: Sara Cox (RFU)

Assistant referees: Aurelie Groizeleau (FFR), Chelsea Gillespie (SRU)

TMO: Andrew McMenemy (SRU)
