PSG clinch Ligue 1 title for 10th time in 13 years
Written by I Dig SportsParis Saint-Germain have clinched the Ligue 1 title after AS Monaco's away loss to Lyon on Sunday, putting them on 12 league wins in the club's history.
PSG were held to a surprise 3-3 draw against Le Havre on Saturday, meaning they had to rely on second-placed Monaco not winning if they were to be crowned champions this weekend.

Despite the draw on Saturday for PSG, Monaco's loss left them on 59 points -- 11 behind the total of 70 PSG have in the bag -- putting the title out of reach for the chasers with only three games left in the season.
The French giants remain on track to win all four of the trophies available to them this season in what is likely to be star forward Kylian Mbappé's final term at the club.
The Parisian club have now won 10 of the past 13 championships since their takeover by the state-backed Qatari Sports Investment in 2011.
It means defending champions PSG extended their lead in Ligue 1 titles over Saint-Etienne, who won their 10th title in 1981 but were relegated to the second division two seasons ago.
Despite reports that he is set to join Real Madrid this summer, Mbappe, with 26 league goals, has been crucial to the team's success in a season of transition for PSG following the departure of Neymar and Lionel Messi last summer. He is on track to win league's top scorer award for a record-breaking sixth season. The France captain is level on five such honours with Carlos Bianchi, Delio Onnis and Jean-Pierre Papin.
Mbappé's brace against Lorient on Wednesday took his tally for PSG to 255 goals in all competitions, breaking a tie with Roger Courtois for the most top-flight goals with a single club in the history of French football. Courtois scored 253 in all competitions for Sochaux, according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics.
Mbappe has been ably supported in the goal-scoring charts by Vitinha, Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, with the latter two forwards impressing in their debut seasons in the French capital.
Since arriving at the club in the summer of 2017, Mbappé has now won the French title in six of seven seasons, falling short only in 2020-21 when Christophe Galtier's Lille pipped the Parisians to the championship by a single point.
The league title is the second trophy PSG have lifted this season after January's Super Cup success. They remain in contention for the Champions League, where they face Borussia Dortmund in a two-legged semifinal at the start of May, and the French Cup, where they're set to face Lyon in the final.
