And although the club have yet to confirm Slot's appointment as their new manager, Liverpool have reached a 9.4 million ($11.8m) compensation agreement with Feyenoord for the 45-year-old, and sources have told ESPN an official announcement is likely next week, once Klopp's reign comes to an end.
Slot told a news conference last week that confirmation of his Liverpool move would happen in a "matter of days," and sources have told ESPN he has already started to build his coaching team at Anfield.
Hulshoff, 49, has worked alongside Slot at Feyenoord since 2022. Hulshoff has also worked as Netherlands assistant alongside former Everton manager Ronald Koeman since January 2023.
Slot and Hulshoff worked together as joint-coaches of Cambuur at the outset of Slot's coaching career in 2016 before Slot moved to AZ Alkmaar a year later.
Liverpool face a summer of rebuilding off the pitch following Klopp's exit due to his existing coaches -- Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz, Vitor Matos and goalkeeper coach John Achterberg -- also leaving Anfield this summer.
