Stars' Hintz still out for Game 1 against Oilers
Written by I Dig SportsDallas Stars forward Roope Hintz has been ruled out of Thursday's Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against the Edmonton Oilers with an upper-body injury.
Hintz will miss his third consecutive contest after getting hurt late in the first period of Game 4 of the semifinals against Colorado. He left after blocking a shot in the first period. Earlier in the game, he went down hard when he was cross-checked by Nathan MacKinnon.
Dallas coach Peter DeBoer said he is hopeful Hintz can return for Game 2 of the conference finals.
Hintz, 27, has collected six points (two goals, four assists) in 11 games during the postseason. He had 65 points (30 goals, 35 assists) in 80 games during the regular season.
