Wales and GB sevens back Powell joins Harlequins
Written by I Dig SportsHarlequins have signed Wales back Kayleigh Powell for the 2024-25 Premiership Women's Rugby season.
Powell joins the club after representing Team GB at the Paris Olympics in rugby sevens, where they reached the last eight.
The 25-year-old has been capped 16 times by her country since her debut in 2019 and was given a dual code full-time contract with her nation in 2023.
Powell has spent the past four seasons with Quins' Premiership rivals Bristol Bears.
"She's a skilful and exciting player who brings a wealth of international experience and quality to our squad," Quins head coach Ross Chisholm told the club website., external
"She is strong in both attack and defence and is dangerous with ball in hand. We're excited to see what Kayleigh can achieve in Quins colours this season."
