ST IVES BAY BEACH & SAND DUNES 10km, Cornwall, August 13

Husband and wife duo Andrew and Lauren Heyes usually take in a race when down in the south west on holiday and this year was no exception, as they comfortably came out on top in this toughie.

The ultra credentials of Andrew Heyes and second placed Ollie Garrod, both of whom have represented Great Britain in world championships, saw them home. For Lauren, a European junior cross-country bronze medallist more than 15 years ago, a 2:31:33 marathon in Decembers Valencia Marathon also proved her stamina.

Overall (tough 10km): 1 A Heyes (D Peak) 35:17; 2 O Garrod (Belg) 37:40

Women: 1 L Heyes (Hallam) 38:56
