Written by I Dig SportsOlympic 800m champion was due to compete in Berlin and Brussels but will now not race again this summer
Keely Hodgkinson has shut her season down after sustaining a small injury.
After winning the Olympic title in Paris followed by a short family holiday, she was due to run 400m in Berlin plus an attempt at a fast 800m at the Diamond League final in Brussels in mid-September.
But on Wednesday (Aug 21) she said on social media: No more races for me! Unfortunately I picked up a small injury but we achieved everything I had hoped to do this year, thank you for all the love and support! See you on the track next year.
