PSA Squash Tour: player suspensions, fines and warnings revealed
Written by I Dig SportsThere were 70 cases of suspensions, fines or warnings across the PSA Tour 2023/24 season, while Egypts Sayed Fawzy will miss the the start of the upcoming season through multiple tournament offences.
Players included a rare warning for James Willstrop, coach of Mostafa Asal who was more restrained than in previous seasons.
Meanwhile, there were 27 instances of warning to players for the offending Article 4. C. Dress and Equipment, five of which came at the Windy City Open and seven players receiving short shrift at the City Tattersalls Group Australian Open.
Dimitri Steinmann had a trying season, warned for dress and equipment, handed a 150 suspended fine for Unsportsmanlike Conduct at the Canadian Mens Open 2024 and suspended for eight weeks at last years US Open for dangerous play and racket abuse.
Mahesh Mongoanker was also suspended, for four weeks, at the start of the year following physical and verbal abuse and visible obscenity at the Bremmer Schlüßel 2023.
Egypts Fawzy will also miss the start of the 2024/25 season for Cumulative Player Commitment and Entry Offences during multiple tournaments.
He was handed a six-month suspension.
