The ITTF World Youth Championships 2024 has roared into action at the Helsingborg Arena, marking the beginning of eight days of intense competition that will showcase the sports brightest young talents.

Team events have taken centre stage on opening day, with host nation Swedens Under-15 boys immediately drawing attention as they face off against Hong Kong, China. The action extends across the venue, where several compelling matchups are unfolding simultaneously. The Under-15 girls from Uzbekistan are testing their skills against Team USA, whilst Irans promising talent Benyamin Faraji leads his Under-15 boys squad in their clash with Chinese Taipei. Table 4 features an equally captivating encounter between Egypts Under-15 girls and Hong Kong, China.

The team events will dominate the opening three days of competition, building towards a dramatic conclusion when the first medals of the championships are awarded on Day 3. This sets the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating eight-day tournament showcasing the future stars of table tennis.

For table tennis enthusiasts worldwide, every moment of the action is being broadcast live on the World Table Tennis YouTube channel, ensuring global access to these emerging talents. A full player list, schedule and real-time match results are available here, whilst a comprehensive gallery of event photos can be found on ITTFs Flickr.

Stay tuned for all the updates as the worlds most promising young table tennis stars compete for glory in Helsingborg.
