The doubles events at the ITTF World Youth Championships in Helsingborg produced a day of contrasting finals, featuring both nail-biting encounters and commanding performances.

The Under-19 Boys Doubles final provided the days most dramatic moments, with Chinas Wen and Huang emerging victorious in a thrilling five-game battle against Korea Republics Kim and Japans Yoshiyama. The match swung back and forth before the Chinese pair finally secured a 3-2 victory (11-2, 7-11, 11-5, 1-11, 11-9), with the final game keeping spectators on the edge of their seats until the last point.

In the Under-19 Girls Doubles, Chinas Zong and Qin displayed exceptional coordination to overcome  Japans talents of Mende and Takamori. Despite strong resistance from their opponents, the Chinese pair secured a 3-1 victory (11-8, 12-10, 3-11, 11-4).

The Under-15 events saw dominant displays from China in both categories. In the Boys Doubles, Li and Tang proved too strong for Otalvaro and Faso, claiming a convincing 3-0 victory (11-8, 11-0, 11-7). Similarly, in the Girls Doubles, Wu and Chen maintained their composure throughout to secure a straight-games win against Korea Republics Choi and Heo, 3-0 (12-10, 11-7, 11-4).

Tomorrow promises an electrifying conclusion to the ITTF World Youth Championships 2024 as the singles events reach their climax, where new champions will be crowned across all categories.
