Bills' James Cook runs for 65-yard TD and celebrates with snow angels

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills rookie running back Ray Davis leaped into the end zone -- and the snow -- to give the Bills a first-quarter lead over the San Francisco 49ers.

The Bills' scoring drive came after the 49ers scored a field goal on their opening drive, marking the first points the Bills allowed on an opening possession since the New York Jets kicked a field goal in Week 6.

Buffalo responded with a 13-play, 65-yard scoring drive that included a seven-yard rush by quarterback Josh Allen to convert a third-and-6. Davis finished off the drive with his five-yard touchdown run, his third rushing touchdown of the season. The score gave the Bills a 7-3 lead.

The 49ers allowed a rushing touchdown for the eighth straight game, tied with the Jets for the longest active streak in the NFL (Bengals, 10) and their longest streak since 2020 (11).

After a missed 45-yard field goal from the 49ers, the Bills capitalized on the team's very next play, as running back James Cook took a handoff and found his way up the right sideline and into the end zone for a 65-yard touchdown run and a snow angel celebration.

The score gave the Bills a 14-3 lead. The rush was the longest play of Cook's career and the longest rushing touchdown by a Bills player since LeSean McCoy's 75-yard rushing touchdown in 2016.
