Hahn, Bell Highlight Tulsa Shootout Fields
Written by I Dig SportsTULSA, Okla. To win the 55-lap finale at the Smileys Racing Products Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy Drink means the wining driver is the champion of the event.
This year that honor will go to the Hyper Racing Outlaw Non-Wing division for the first time, with a pair of Oklahoma drivers bringing the field to the green.
Seeking his 10th career victory in Tulsa Shootout competition, defending division champion Blake Hahn has earned the pole for the 55-lap feature event, and will be flanked by 2018 WFO Outlaw Champion, three-time Chili Bowl winner and NASCAR Cup Series veteran Christopher Bell.
Setting up the lock-in drivers for each feature event, 11 drivers are already locked into one or more of Saturdays feature events, but only one is locked into both stock and outlaw features, and that is four-time Tulsa Shootout winner and defending WFO Outlaw champion Emerson Axsom, whose best starting spot will be in EVO Fuel Injection A-Class, where he will lead the field to the green.
Braden Chiaramonte and Kyle Larson are each in a trio of features. Drivers doubling up in main events include Aiden Purdue, Cash Lovenburg, Christopher Bell, Clinton Boyles, Daison Pursley, Matt Carr, Sam Johnson, and Steven Snyder, Jr.
With 338 races in the books, Saturdays program will begin with B features.
