The fallout between the NBA and China has intensified after Chinese organizers canceled a fan event in Shanghai just one day before an exhibition game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers. The decision to cancel the meet and greet between players and fans came after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver defended a controversial tweet posted by the Houston Rockets' general manager which expressed support for Hong Kong's pro-democracy protesters.
