The Washington Nationals celebrated their first Major League Baseball World Series title with a victory parade, Saturday, November 2.
Red confetti filled the air as the team rode open-top buses down Constitution Avenue to the U.S. Capitol, waving to fans who crowded sidewalks, and even climbed up a statue to catch a glimpse of the winning team.
Throughout the season, the team fought back from deficits, overcame a series of injuries and fended off a long list of powerful opponents on the way to its come-from-behind Game 7 win Wednesday.
