JONESTOWN, Pa. – Drydene Performance Products will serve as the primary sponsor and oil partner of World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series regular Ricky Weiss for the next two seasons.
“Ricky Weiss is an exciting, up and coming driver,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “We’re thrilled to partner with a competitor like Ricky who’s not just a rising star, but who has a proven record of the hard work, determination, and top performances. He’s a tremendous addition to Team Drydene.”
Weiss hails from Headingley, Manitoba, and just concluded his first full World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series season by earning the rookie-of-the-year award.
Weiss turned heads during his rookie season, with 13 podium finishes, 17 top-fives, 30 top-10s and an average finish of 7.6. He placed third in points for the 2019 season, the highest finish by a rookie in World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series history.
“I’m really excited to be a part of Team Drydene,” said Weiss. “I’ve been impressed by Drydene’s commitment to dirt track racing, and to be a part of a lineup that includes teams like Shark Racing made this an easy decision. I’m looking forward to carrying the Drydene colors to victory in 2020.”
Drydene Performance Products is also the primary sponsor of Shark Racing’s No. 1a driven by Jacob Allen and the No. 1s driven by Logan Schuchart in the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series. Drydene has a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the World of Outlaws as the official motor oil and the official diesel exhaust fluid of both divisions. Drydene is also the presenting sponsor of DIRTVision.
