Ajax defender Daley Blind has undergone a successful heart operation.
Blind, 29, who previously played for Manchester United, suffered from dizziness in his side's Champions League clash with Valencia this week, but continued playing.

Blind's procedure saw a subcutaneous implantable defibrillator fitted, Ajax said in a statement on Saturday.
The club added that the defender would miss their trip to Qatar for a training camp in January.
"The most important thing is that I'm feeling good at the moment and trying to come back as soon as possible," Blind said.
