CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – Numerous stars from the American midget scene will square off against New Zealand’s brightest talents during the 78th annual Accessman NZ Midget Championship, Jan. 24-25 at Ruapuna Speedway.
The annual event is one of the most-prestigious midget car meets in New Zealand, and will be streamed to a worldwide audience this year through a SPEED SPORT TV-supported, RJP TV pay-per-view broadcast.
Forty-five drivers are currently on the entry list for the two-day event, headlined by eight-time New Zealand midget champion and defending race winner Michael Pickens.
Other former Kiwis to have won the New Zealand Midget Championship entered for this weekend’s running include Brad Mosen, Michael Kendall and Peter Hunnibell.
Among the notable Americans entered are reigning NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series champion Tyler Courtney, three-time POWRi National Midget League titlist Zach Daum, 2018 USAC National Midget champion Logan Seavey and reigning Driven2SaveLives BC39 winner Zeb Wise.
