25 Races For Crate Racin’ USA Late Models

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – Crate Racin’ USA officials have announced the 25-race Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series schedule of events.

The series will visit 11 tracks in five states over 14 weekends.

The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series will once again feature a season points fund that will reward the top-10 drivers at season’s end with the National Champion pocketing $10,000.

In addition to the point fund, the top-10 drivers in the point standings with perfect attendance will also be eligible for the Winner’s Circle Program.

The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Winner’s Circle Program will pay $200 to each top-five driver in the National point standings with perfect attendance at each race, and $125 to drivers sixth through tenth in the National points with perfect attendance.

Greenville (Miss.) Speedway will open the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series season with a pair of races that make up the Rumble On The Gumbo on April 3-4. The April 3 race will be a $2,000-to-win, 40-lap race, and the April 4 event will pay $2,500-to-win and run for 50 laps.

North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Ala., will host three events on the schedule. The first race will be the $3,000-to-win, 50-lap Shoals Showdown on April 18. North Alabama will also present the two-race King of the Crates weekend on Aug. 28 with a $2,000-to-win, 40-lap race, and on Aug. 29 with a $3,000-to-win, 50-lap race.

Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., will take up its five traditional spots on the schedule. The first of two NASCAR weekend events will happen on April 24 with a $2,000-to-win, 40-lap race and a $2,500-to-win, 50-lap race on April 25.

Talladega Short Track will present the first race of the Salute To America Nationals with a $2,500-to-win, 50-lap race on July 3. Cochran (Ga.) Motor Speedway will host the second Salute To America race on July 4 with a $2,500-to-win 50-lap event.

The second NASCAR Weekend at the Talladega Short Track will be on Oct. 2 with a $2,000-to-win, 40-lap race and a $2,500-to-win, 50-lap race on Oct. 3.

Five new venues will be on the schedule of events.

The series will make its first appearance in the Pelican State with its first visit to Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, La., for a pair of $2,500-to-win, 50-lap races to be called the Battle On The Bayou on May 23-24. Another first-time visit will take place on May 29-30 at Tri County Speedway in Flomaton, Ala.

The $2,000-to-win Salute To First Responders 40 will take place at Tri County Speedway on May 29, and on May 30 Tri County Speedway will present the $2,500-to-win Freedom 50.

Another new event will be the $3,000-to-win Spring City 50 on June 27 at the newly renovated Mountain Raceway Park in Spring City, Tenn. Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tenn., will host the series for the first time when they present the King of the Hill 50 on with a $2,500-to-win, 50-lap race on Aug. 8.

The signature event of the season, the 100-lap 16th annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race, will now pay $20,000-to-win and move to Labor Day Weekend at Cochran Motor Speedway on Sept. 5-6. South Georgia will have another new track on the schedule when Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., will present a $5,000-to-win, 60-lap race on Sept. 26.

Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., returns to the schedule with the inaugural Hoosier Racing Tire Crate Super Nationals on Nov. 5-7. The purse and distance of the race will be announced at a later date, as details are still being worked out for this new event.

The season will conclude with another inaugural big event, the $10,000-to-win Deep South 100 at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala., on Nov. 13-14. It will be the first visit to Deep South Speedway for the series since 2007.
