BELLEVILLE, Ill. — With the agreement between POWRi and the SPEED SPORT Network now in place, POWRi officials have announced the launch of POWRi TV.

Race fans can enjoy all the action on the track that POWRi offers with the digital media content and technical support SPEED SPORT guarantees. Ready to be accessed at www.powri.tv as well as via a standalone app, to be released subsequently, fans can catch all the racing coverage POWRi TV offers.

Race fans can now log in and explore all that www.powri.tv has to offer, with a monthly live-streaming option of $34.99 or a yearly rate available. Can’t catch the event live? POWRi TV has you covered with Video-On-Demand options that are included; keeping with the industry standard all the great POWRi racing content will be in High Definition.

The launch of POWRi TV is part of a three-year agreement that was recently announced that will see SPEED SPORT provide production, broadcast and marketing services to POWRi.

“POWRi TV is a perfect fit for the SPEED SPORT Network,” said SPEED SPORT President Ralph Sheheen. “We are dedicated to delivering the best racing content to race fans around the world and that is what Kenny Brown’s POWRi series does. POWRi is a leader in the genre of sprint cars and midgets. Big fields, great venues, top drivers and extremely competitive racing. If you love sprint cars and midgets like we do, you are going to be thrilled with POWRi TV.”

POWRi TV is dedicating production support to cover POWRi leagues ranging from the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League to the newly sanctioned POWRi Quarter Midget Series and everything in between. POWRi TV will start the season with a dedicated app that will be available on Roku, Amazon Fire, Android and iOS.

“The launch of POWRi TV is a significant milestone in the realization of the partnership between Riivet, Inc. and SPEED SPORT — the SPEED SPORT Network — which we announced at PRI last fall,” said Joe Tripp, SPEED SPORT CEO. “Our network of individually-branded broadcast partnerships, or ‘affiliates,’ (now more than 45 and growing rapidly), creates an unparalleled level of control and value for the promoter, while also leveraging the technical efficiencies, experience and cross-platform audience that SPEED SPORT delivers. We’re proud of the POWRi TV team and look forward to broadcasting and covering all the exciting action across all our platforms.”

An all-star team has been assembled to handle all the behind-the-scenes effort, with Ryan Bowling and Heather Stasa named as co-producer/director. The two have a combined 20 years of experience and a shared vision of presenting the best show possible for viewers. Bowling founded Dirt2Media, a SPEED SPORT Network affiliate covering grassroots racing, which in its first year covers four weekly tracks in Indiana as well as live broadcasts at major events throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.

Stasa, who has produced some of the most prestigious open-wheel events in the country, stressed a similar mind mentality going into the season.

“There is no I in the industry, it definitely takes a team to put on the best broadcast for the fans,” Stasa said. “With the SPEED SPORT and POWRi partnership, it’s definitely going to be an amazing year and I am excited with the team of people we have put together.”

Another key member of the POWRi TV team includes longtime official POWRi videographer Jimmy Miller, who will continue his duties behind the camera, bringing viewers the ideal racing action just as he has for the previous seven seasons. Aside from shooting video at the historic Knoxville Raceway, the Chili Bowl Nationals and other notable venues, Miller has also contributed to the more than 170 features that will soon be available on-demand on POWRi.TV.

“Continuing to grow POWRi TV from the original inception in 2018 to today is special, I personally just want to bring the best live streaming service to the fans, with quality content at the forefront,” Miller said.

Beginning at the Seventh Annual Turnpike Challenge presented by Super Clean in March, Riivet founder and the SPEED SPORT Network’s driving force, Chris Graner, will be working closely with POWRi officials as technical support to assure a successful launch that delivers the best content available for the sanctioning body, its competitors and fans alike.

“Through this affiliation came the opportunity to jump on board with POWRi TV and I’ve never been more excited about an opportunity. Kenny (Brown) has built a tremendous brand with POWRi and cannot wait to contribute to its growth moving forward,” Bowling said.

The SPEED SPORT Network is a joint venture between Turn 3 Media, LLC and the streaming broadcast technology company Riivet, Inc. The network delivers SPEED SPORT’s legendary brand credibility, editorial might and massive audience with a proven, proprietary approach to motorsports broadcasting.
