COCHRAN, Ga. – Wil Herrington added to his weekend bounty with a pair of victories on Sunday night at Cochran Motor Speedway.
Herrington took top honors in the 50-lap Newsome Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series finale, earning a $5,000 payday in the process. He finished 1.7 seconds ahead of Saturday’s Cochran feature winner Kyle Bronson, he had to settle for second.
Michael Brown, Dylan Knowles and Mark Whitener completed the top-five in the crate late model feature.
That wasn’t all for Herrington, who also won the Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock feature earlier in the evening to earn an extra $1,000. Combined with the $5,000 he won on Saturday for his victory in the Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock World Championship Race, Herrington earned $11,000 during his weekend at Cochran.
In other action Sunday night, Dustin Miller won the pure stock feature and Cody Overton won the 602 late model sportsman main event.
