The Denver Nuggets are the fourth NBA team to have a positive coronavirus test, saying in a statement Thursday that a member of their organization has COVID-19.

"The person, who was tested after experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 on March 16, is currently under care of team medical staff and in self-isolation," the team said in an announcement.

The Nuggets did not say whether the person is a player for the team.

A total of seven players -- Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons center Christian Wood and four members of the Brooklyn Nets, including forward Kevin Durant -- have tested positive for COVID-19.

Commissioner Adam Silver said Wednesday that eight full teams and other individual players who have shown symptoms have been tested. The Toronto Raptors and Oklahoma City Thunder previously announced they had no positive tests.

The NBA continues to take precautions related to the coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, the league sent a memo stating that, starting Friday, all 30 teams must close their practice and training facilities to players and staff until further notice, sources told ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

The league continues to recommend that players remain in their team's home market, as well as to only leave their homes when they absolutely must, like to go grocery shopping or get medicine. A ban on players leaving North America also remains in effect.
