ASSEN, Netherlands – Amidst the global coronavirus pandemic, the TT Circuit Assen round of the World Superbike has been postponed until August.
World Superbike was originally scheduled for April 17-19, but the race will now take place on Aug. 21-23.
“The FIM and Dorna WSBK Organization are continuously working with circuits and government officials following up the situation in each country, putting the safety of everyone first in every case,” World Superbike officials said in a statement. “Information will be released accordingly should there be any further changes to the calendar.”
The next event on the World Superbike schedule that hasn’t been postponed or canceled as of yet is the round on May 8-10 in Italy.
