BRASSTOWN, N.C. — Due to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels have canceled the remaining events on the series schedule.
The following events have been canceled: May 8 at Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway, May 9 at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tenn., May 22 at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, N.C., May 23 at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Ga., and May 24 at Rome (Ga.) Speedway.
With current restrictions on gatherings of spectators at the present time, track and series officials felt it best to cancel those events.
The Scott Sexton Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway on Monday, May 25, paying $10,052-to-win, will remain on the schedule for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series but will be removed from the Spring Nationals schedule due to the other remaining events being canceled. It will also run under Iron-Man Series technical rules.
Plans are being made for the 16th Annual Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels which runs July 10-25.
