ARDMORE, Okla. – Tyler Stevens came from the 11th starting position to win Saturday’s Touring Outlaw Modified Series main event at Southern Oklahoma Speedway.
Stevens, who raced his way into the feature from one of the three B mains, chased down and passed polesitter Triston Dycus as the two worked through slower traffic late in the 30-lap feature. The victory was worth $2,300 for Stevens.
Tanner Mullens finished third, followed by Friday’s modified winner R.C. Whitwell and Jeff Taylor.
Heats were won by Dycus, Cole Traugott, Rodney Sanders, Mike Hansen, Brooks Strength, Mullens, Chris Dawson, Austin Bonner and Jason Webb. Whitwell, Tanner Black and Stevens were the B main winners.
Dean Abbey was the winner of the limited sport mod feature while Jeffrey Abbey was a winner in the stock car main event.
