CLAREMONT, N.H. – Claremont Motorsports Park has been forced to postpone its season, which includes the Tri-Track Open Modified Series event on May 24.
“The health and safety of our fans and race teams is our number one priority,” said track operator Mike Parks. “As much as we want to be at the track every Friday night we will respect the directives of our Governor.”
The Tri-Track Open Modified Series event scheduled for Sunday, May 24 is on hold for the foreseeable future. Several conversations have taken place between series owner Wayne Darling and Parks and once a solid time line is established every attempt will be made to reschedule.
“We are in a situation where we have more questions than answers. We want to get the gates open just as soon as we can whether that is for practice or competition,” said Parks. “If we can come up with a way to work with the state and get open for practice we will do that.”
For now, all events at Claremont Motorsports Park have been delayed until further notice.
“This is not how we envisioned our first venture in season long track promotions,” Park said. “Hopefully the racers and fans will continue to stay positive and be ready to come back when the situation allows.”
