PENSACOLA, Fla. – Five Flags Speedway roared to life for the first time since the Snowball Derby in December on Friday, with four drivers earning trips to victory lane.
In the Pro Truck feature, 14-year-old Grant Thompson rolled to victory by leading the event from start to finish. Darryl Rudd chased him to the checkered flag in the second position.
The Sportsman feature was won by Hunter Lambert, who had to wait out a brief rain shower that slowed the action with seven laps to go. Shanna Ard finished second.
Bill Touchtone took top honors in the Outlaw Stock main event, leading the entire distance. Fast qualifier Kody Brusso failed to start the race and Jay Jay Day, who inherited the pole, dropped to the tail of the field due to a bad start. That gave Touchtone the lead, a position he never gave up.
Finally, in the Street Stock feature, Jerry Goff Jr. made a return visit to victory lane after winning the Street Stock feature during Snowball Derby weekend in December.
