DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Series competitor Brett Moffitt confirmed via his Twitter account on Monday that he has been cleared to return to competition.
Moffitt, the driver of the No. 23 Chevrolet for GMS Racing in the Truck Series fractured both of his legs after being involved in a motocross accident in mid-March. The 2018 Truck Series champion underwent surgery to repair the damage and has been rehabilitating since the surgery.

The Truck Series, like the rest of NASCAR, has been idle since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March. Moffitt and the rest of the series will return to competition on May 26 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
