NEW RICHMOND, Wis. – A track worker died after being involved in an accident during a school bus race at Wisconsin’s Cedar Lake Speedway on Friday night.
According to Fox 6 Now, Edward Nicholson, 62, was attempting to move a disabled bus off the track when the bus rolled onto him. Nicholson died at the scene.
The incident took place on the first night of racing at the three-eighths-mile dirt track after the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down the stay-at-home order rules put in place by Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers earlier in the week.
