Revised Dash 4 Cash Program Details Revealed

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR officials confirmed Thursday morning the revised look for the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Dash 4 Cash program heading into the mini-series’ 12th year.

The Bristol event will serve as the Dash 4 Cash qualifier, making the top four Xfinity Series drivers from the Cheddar’s 300 presented by Alsco eligible to race for the first of four $100,000 bonuses.

From there, the events at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway on June 6, Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway on June 14, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on June 20 and the next scheduled race following the Talladega 300-miler will each award $100,000 to the highest-finishing Dash 4 Cash eligible driver.

The procedure for eligibility moving through each event remains the same as originally announced last summer. The Dash 4 Cash winner from the previous race automatically moves on to defend their title at the next event, along with the three highest-finishing Xfinity Series drivers from the previous race, for a total of four eligible drivers.

Originally, the Dash 4 Cash was scheduled to begin with a qualifier at Homestead on March 21, followed by races at Texas Motor Speedway on March 28, Bristol on April 4, Talladega on April 25 and Dover (Del.) Int’l Speedway on May 2.

However, the new look for the four-race mini-series in the wake of the altered 2020 schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which shut down sports for nearly two months.

Christopher Bell (twice), Cole Custer and Tyler Reddick won Dash 4 Cash bonuses during the four-race series in 2019, with Bell pocketing half of the available $400,000 pot.

Series title sponsor Xfinity plans to donate additional money in each Dash 4 Cash race market as a means of reaffirming its company-wide mission to connect families, veterans and seniors to the digital tools necessary to navigate through the current world situation.
