BELLEVILLE, Ill. – With ongoing restrictions in the state of Illinois, POWRi and track officials have postponed the annual Illinois Speed Week.
Rescheduled dates for the week-long event will follow as soon as restrictions are lifted and dates become available.
Illinois Speed Week was originally scheduled June 10-14, with visits to Belle-Clair Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, Jacksonville Speedway, Macon Speedway, and Fayette County Speedway.
Despite the postponement of Illinois Speed Week, POWRi officials have secured a venue to continue the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget League season, with competitors traveling to Lake Ozark Speedway for a two-day event.
June 12-13 will see the third-mile dirt track host the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget Leagues for door-to-door battles.
Setting the stage for an outstanding weekend of racing, the ASCS Warrior Region will see feature action scheduled for a Friday night visit as all regular great classes including the growing class of POWRi Racesaver 305 Sprints will see the competition green on Saturday’s program.
Racing action from both days of competition at Lake Ozark will be available exclusively on POWRi TV, an affiliate of the SPEED SPORT Network, for fans unable to attend.
