CANEY, Kan. — Hank Davis, Ryder Laplante and Jade Avedisian kicked off Mo State Construction Sooner 600 Week presented by Hi-Plains Building Division by earning feature victories on Wednesday night at Caney Valley Speedway.
More than 100 entrants were featured in the three premier divisions of the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division during Round 1 of five straight nights of competition.
Davis hustled to his first Stock Non-Wing win of the season and third career with the series. Bryant Wiedeman charged from 19th to second place with Colby Sokol placing third. Championship points leader Bradley Fezard maneuvered from 15th to fourth and Seth Shebester was fifth.
Laplante scored his first career Winged ‘A’ Class triumph with the series by holding off Flud, who is the defending series champion. Avedisian, who is the current championship points leader, rounded out the podium. Noah Key finished fourth and Kenton Brewer ended fifth.
Avedisian increased her lead in the Restricted ‘A’ Class championship standings thanks to her fifth series triumph of the season. Garrett Benson was the runner up with Dominic Carter third, Justis Sokol fourth and 13 th-starting Trey Zorn fifth.
