GAS CITY, Ind. — Starting Wednesday night at Gas City I-69 Speedway, anyone in the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series field not named Kyle Larson will have a thousand more reasons to want to reach victory lane.

Richard and Jennifer Marshall from Priority Aviation have posted a $1,000 bounty for any driver who can defeat Larson at any of the remaining rounds of this year’s 16th annual Indiana Midget Week.

If Larson doesn’t win the Indiana Midget Week feature on any given night — from Wednesday at Gas City through Sunday night’s finale at Kokomo Speedway — the feature winner will collect a minimum of an extra $1,000.

Additional money can be added to the pot via PayPal contributions, which can be submitted to USAC through the PayPal [email protected]

Should Larson win a particular night’s midget main, the $1,000 bounty will be donated to the Indiana Donor Network in Larson’s name.

Larson stands as the early Indiana Midget Week point leader following his Tuesday score at Paragon Speedway, which marked his sixth dirt-track win in the last six races he’s entered between the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series.

It was also his eighth consecutive midget win inside the United States, including three in a row to end the 2019 USAC season and sweeps of the Gateway Dirt Nationals and Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals.

Larson is contesting Indiana Midget Week, driving for Tucker/Boat Motorsports.

The last driver to defeat Larson in a midget on U.S. soil was Gio Scelzi, who led 10 laps Tuesday night at Paragon before flipping from third place with nine laps remaining in the 30-lap main event.

Scelzi outran Larson in the preliminary-night feature for the Hangtown 100 at Placerville (Calif.) Speedway in November. Larson finished second in that contest.
