PHENIX CITY, Ala. — Danny Martin Jr. claimed top honors in Saturday night’s Alabama Sprint Car Nationals at East Alabama Motor Speedway.

The event was sanctioned by the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour.

Martin held off many-time USCS champion Terry Gray to take the checkered flag with Mark Ruel Jr., Danny Smith ant Matt Kurtz rounding out the top five.

Point leader Mark Smith finished sixth.
