CORNWALL, Ontario – Mario Clair used a mid-race restart to win the modified portion of the Revival 50 Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway.
Yan Bussiere grabbed the lead early in the modified portion of the Revival 50 in front of Chris Raabe and Clair, with Shane Pecore and Luke Whitteker rounding out the top-five. A few cautions slowed the field in the first portion of the event as Bussiere was leading the way in front of Raabe and Whitteker.
On a lap 24 restart Clair made a great move and passed Raabe for second. Clair found something as he got the lead on a lap 27 restart over Raabe as Pecore moved to second with Mathieu Desjardins in the mix.
Clair held off some charges from Desjardins to lead the final laps to capture his first win at Cornwall this season over Desjardins and Steve Bernier, who made a last-lap pass to claim the third spot.
C.D. Beauchamp was the winner of the 35-lap pro stock feature, Tomy Moreau conquered the 25-lap Lightning Sprint main and Randy Gaudet was the winner of the 20-lap vintage race.
