Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon returned to practice this week inside the Orlando bubble at Walt Disney World Resort with a new accessory.

After testing positive for the coronavirus, Brogdon is wearing a mask as a safety precaution during workouts until official action resumes.

"I intend to do it until we start playing games," Brogdon said Thursday. "It's something I've been doing for my conditioning and just to be considerate of the guys just in case guys were worried about me previously contracting the virus. Just wearing it to help be cautious and make guys feel comfortable."

Pacers coach Nate McMillan said he hasn't thought much about Brogdon spreading the virus with all the strenuous tests being enforced by the NBA.

"He is out there working hard. He's playing with a mask on, and that's pretty much Malcolm's doing," McMillan said. "Just to give the team confidence that he's not out there spreading anything. He's not required to play with a mask, but he's been working that way the last two days. We really haven't even thought about it. All the testing that guys are going through and the testing that Malcolm has to go through to even get on the floor, we feel safe when he's out there practicing with us."

Brogdon successfully completed his quarantine period and said he's feeling normal again.

The 2017 NBA Rookie of the Year averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists for the Pacers in 48 games this season.

"I had very mild symptoms," Brogdon said. "Had a fever and a headache but [other] people that come down with the virus, they had it way worse than I did, so I was very fortunate and very blessed that I've completely gotten over the virus and I feel great. So, I'm back to 100 percent."
