MARTINSVILLE, Ind. – Hudson O’Neal has announced that he has parted ways with the MasterSbilt House Car team, effective immediately.
O’Neal joined the MasterSbilt House Car program after departing SSI Motorsports, which shut down its dirt late model program at the end of the 2019 season.
The split comes amid a season full of struggles for O’Neal and the MasterSbilt team. In their first season together, the team has only managed one top-five finish, a fifth-place result at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio, on July 3.
The last race for the O’Neal and MasterSbilt pairing came Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., where O’Neal failed to qualify for the 100-lap Show-Me 100 main event.
According to O’Neal’s statement on his website, he plans to take some time off before seeking other opportunities in the dirt late model racing world.
