CONCORD, N.C. – Despite making only one sprint car start in the last week, Kyle Larson still extended his lead in the National Sprint Car Rankings.

With a second-place finish during the $25,000-to-win Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Pennsylvania’s Lernerville Speedway last Tuesday, Larson lowered his average finish to 3.763 in 38 starts.

Larson has won 18 410 sprint car features this season, best in the nation.

Brad Sweet, who retook the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point lead Saturday night after Donny Schatz encountered mechanical trouble at Williams Grove Speedway, ranks second with a 5.258 average finish in 31 races.

All Star point leader Aaron Reutzel sits third in the national standings, while David Gravel jumped to fourth after his $20,000 Williams Grove win on Saturday night. Logan Schuchart remains fifth over Schatz, who fell two spots due to his DNF and 23rd-place finish Saturday.

Forty-five drivers have now made the mandatory 20 starts to be eligible for the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Freddie Rahmer, who ranks 10th nationally, continues to lead the Eastern region standings. Cale Conley maintained his spot atop the Great Lakes region and Sweet still leads the Great Plains region.

Jacob Patton retained the point in the Mid-America standings for the second straight week, while Brandon Spithaler extended his margin in the Ohio-Pennsylvania quadrant and Justin Sanders continues to lead in the Western region.

Sixty-seven drivers have won the 156 features contested this season.
