Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Collins will require season-ending ankle surgery, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.
The Trail Blazers had said earlier in the week that Collins was diagnosed with a stress reaction injury in his left ankle and would be reevaluated in a week.
Collins left the Blazers' play-in game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday with the injury and has missed both of the Blazers' first-round playoff series games against the Los Angeles Lakers.
A first-round pick out of Gonzaga in 2017, Collins averaged 7.0 points and 6.3 rebounds this season for the Trail Blazers.
